Good 2 Go Taco New Location Now Open

It’s been a long wait, but IMG_2809Good 2 Go Taco opened the doors to their new store for the first time today, bringing their vegan-friendly tacos back to hungry Dallasites in limbo since the closing of their previous location.

You may remember Good 2 Go when they were located in a tiny corner of the Green Spot, a healthy convenience store near White Rock Lake. Or you may remember them from their national appearance on a little show called The Best Thing I Ever Ate on Food Network. Either way, if you’ve ever eaten a Good 2 Go Taco, you know it’s a memorable experience.

Good 2 Go’s ever-changing daily menu always features a vegan taco, or vegetarian taco easily made vegan. Past tacos include the ‘Beatnik,’ a mixture of corn, black beans, butternut squash, and rice – and my favorite, the ‘Morraccoli,’ caramelized broccoli, onion, currants, tomatoes, red peppers, and couscous. Today’s menu featured ‘Curry in a Hurry,’ a mixture of shitake mushrooms and butternut squash in creamy coconut curried rice – fabulous as always.

Good 2 Go is open for breakfast and lunch six days a week, closed on Mondays. Stop in soon to welcome them back and tell them Dallas Vegan sent you!

  • I ventured out there today as well and sampled the ‘Curry in a Hurry’. Pretty good, just wish it had packed a little more punch in the seasonings category. All in all, the place looks great and I’m really excited about the new location!

What’s your take on the Trinity Taco Platter at Cosmic Cafe? I’m eating my way through a Top 10 Tacos list and that’s on it.

That’s interesting BigChalupa, honestly, haven’t had the Taco platter at Cosmic in a while, so it would be unfair to compare – I need to venture back and check it out.

I agree about the seasoning thing – I added a little kick with one of the hot-sauce options on hand. It will be nice when they’ve accumulated a large selection of hot-sauce like they had at Green Spot.
