ACT’s Fort Worth Rodeo Protests Conclude This Saturday – 2/5/2011

For the last few weeks, animal advocacy group Animal Connection Texas (ACT) has been staging protests at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The demos have met their fair share of opposition, being yelled at by belligerent rodeo fans – even as far as some advocates being pushed and shoved during the most recent demonstration.

ACT refers rodeo-goers to an online resource, Sharkonline.org, for information about animal cruelty within the rodeo entertainment community. There, you can see many instances of animal abuse in the rodeo industry and learn how to take action against it.

If you are interested in representing the contingent of DFW residents that do not feel watching animals used in this way is entertainment,  join ACT in their last demonstration against the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo this Saturday, February 5th from 6:30 pm Р8:30 pm. Help ACT conclude the rodeo with their biggest group of supporters yet. Contact Savanna Batten at (817)-584-2503 or visit their event page for more details.
