Join the Black Vegetarian Society of Texas (BVSTX) and Animal Connection of Texas (ACT) for their joint Thanksgiving Potluck celebration on Saturday November 12th, 11:30 am at the Center for Community Cooperation (CCC), 2900 Live Oak, Dallas.
More details from Susan Oakey at ACT:
If you can, bring a dish that will feed at least ten. If you aren’t able to bring a dish, monetary donations to help offset costs would be greatly appreciated.
If you could let Susan know what you will be bringing, we can make sure that we have a good variety (214-577-6727 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
The small print:
The Center is just north of downtown Dallas, on the east side of Live Oak Street, between Oak Street and Liberty Street. We will be in the Oak Corner building. This is a small separate building on the Oak Street of the CCC complex. There is ample parking in the parking lot that houses the buildings as well as in the overflow parking on the other side of Oak Street.
The room has a stove for warming items. However, due to health regulations, we are not permitted to cook in the oven.
Those who are not going to the Petland protest before the potluck may wish to join BVSTX for their free Vegetarian 201 class. the subject will be: handling the holidays when not all family members are vegetarians. The class starts at 11:30.
Petland protesters – don’t worry, we’ll save a seat for you! (And of course, as Dr. Pippin has suggested in the past, we will save a seat for Homeland Security, as we know that they like to frequent vegan potlucks.)
