Humane League of Dallas’ “Team Vegan Dallas” 15K/5K Training

humaneleagueIn case you haven’t heard, The Humane League recently opened an office here in Dallas. The Humane League is a 501(c)3 animal advocacy organization that works to protect all animals through public education, campaigns and rescue, and has already made an impact here in the DFW area through leafleting, restaurant outreach, humane education, and more.

In support of these efforts, they are putting together a program not only to help them raise money, but to help you achieve a special goal of running a 5K or 15K race on July 14th, 2013 in Dallas, TX! Whether you’re a beginning runner or a seasoned pro, training for the race will mean just a little bit more knowing you’re supporting a worthy cause.

Team Vegan Dallas

Team Vegan Dallas is the running program The Humane League has setup to help you raise money, as well as help you with your training. It includes a personalized fundraising page to track your progress, as well as help with training plans and even organized in-person weekly runs. Everything you need for a stress-free experience increasing your body’s performance, in addition to increasing the effectiveness of The Humane League with your raised donations.

The goal race is the Too Hot To Handle 15K/5K, held at White Rock Lake in Dallas on Sunday July 14th, 2013. The Too Hot To Handle is one of the “marquee” summer races in North Texas and includes live music, snacks, and beverages after the race. What better way to celebrate the achievement for yourself, and for The Humane League!
