Visit the Thai Culture & Food Festival This Weekend, May 24-25!

Got Memorial Weekend plans yet? No? Well here’s a nice event that might pique your interest!

This weekend is the inaugural Thai Culture & Food Festival, presented by the the Thai Community Center of North Texas.

The two-day festival includes a celebration of all things Thai including product vendors with Thai gifts and arts for sale, traditional Thai performances and dances, Muay Thai matches, and most importantly, VEGAN FOOD! All of the food vendors will have vegan options on hand for sale, including (but not limited to): Massaman Curry from Bangkok City, Fried Taro & Tofu from Best Thai, Crispy Pad Thai and Coconut Ice Cream from Asia Mint and much more!

The free family-friendly festival will kick-off at 11 am on Saturday, May 24th with a grand parade around the temple grounds, ending with a ribbon cutting on stage for the opening ceremony. The US Ambassador of Thailand, Honorary Consul General of Thailand W. Forrest Smith, city officials and community leaders will participate in the opening ceremony.  US Ambassador of Thailand will make brief remarks at the opening ceremony.
